Gray, a standout player for Rose BC, received the award before the semifinal games at the sold-out Barclays Center. Her outstanding performance included averaging 24.2 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 6.1 assists, breaking her own single-season assists record with 85 in 14 games.
The 33-year-old's exceptional skills were showcased in nine games with 20 or more points and 10 games with five or more assists. She also tied the league's single-game 3-pointers record with 10.
Former Aces star Kelsey Plum, now with the Los Angeles Sparks, led her team to the championship game with a 31-point performance against Vinyl. Dearica Hamby, another former Aces player on the Sparks, scored 30 points for Vinyl.
In another semifinal, Arike Ogunbowale celebrated her birthday by hitting a crucial 3-pointer, leading the Mist to a 73-69 victory over Breeze.
The championship game will take place on Wednesday at Unrivaled's home arena in Miami, with a prize pool of $600,000 up for grabs for the winning team.
Unrivaled's successful event in Philadelphia in January, attracting over 21,490 fans, led to the semifinals being moved to New York. The star-studded crowd on Monday included basketball legends Carmelo Anthony and Sue Bird, actors Ashton Kutcher and Jason Sudeikis, and gold medal-winning U.S. hockey player Hilary Knight.
